Reach for a bottle of Coconut Water


Coconut water is growing in popularity for some really great reasons. It's an exceptionally tasty, natural beverage that is excellent for re-hydration and an good alternative to Gatorade or any other sports drink. Lets look at a few of the health benefits:


1) It's nutrient dense.

As I previously mentioned, it's a better choice than any "sports drink". Coconut water contains magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, and sodium, all of which are essential electrolytes that are present in the human body.


2) It can help with weight loss.

The fat content in coconut water is extremely low, so large quantities can be consumed without the fear of weight gain. It also suppresses the appetite and makes you feel full because of its rich nature.

Coconut water has a high concentration of fiber, which can help in preventing indigestion. If you are experiencing difficulty with digestion, coconut water might just be the answer!

4) It reduces the risk of kidney stones.

As mentioned in #1, coconut water is loaded with magnesium and potassium, making it perfect to keep your kidneys working optimally. Making coconut water a part of your regular diet helps your body to deal with them kidney stones by flushing them out through urine.

Coconut water has electrolytes and minerals that replenish your body’s electrolyte and water reserves. It's a simple and readily available remedy for dehydration. Coconut water also aids in relieving diarrhea by re-fueling your body with essential nutrients, preventing the onset of dehydration.

While coconut water might be slightly more expensive than good ol' H2O, it's an effective way to keep you hydrated, especially during the hot summer months. Think twice before reaching for one of those artificially flavored sports drinks and give coconut water a shot!
